This Scion owner may have gone to the Ray Charles school of photography. What makes it worse than the typical craigslist ad in which the owner didn't bother to remove the mattress from the hood pr take it out of the garage? It looks like this guy actually tried.
He tried his very best to take pictures of the car that would show us something about it, but it seems he didn't know how to operate a camera and instead let his cat take the pictures.
I feel bad for bashing this guy. I'm sorry.

I have to disagree on this. Although they are really bad pictures, they are actually somewhat clear, not upside down, the subject isn't in the background, and there are more than one picture. Way better than no pictures at all. This ad tells me....DON"T BUY FROM THIS KID

To me, only the wheel and the trunk pictures are the only clear ones. All the others have an awful filter on them that shows zero details. There could be an 8 inch scratch in the paint and we would be none the wiser. But your final 3 points are correct. That engine pic is also a joke.

Pictures sideways and nearly pointless. The pics in the ad of the scion clearly show a car you wouldn't want to touch...8 inch scratch or not. It shows what tasteless stuff he did and that was good enough to hit the back button.

You are right. We do see all we need to see. But the example you showed was simply a guy from Australia, and that's why they're tilted. No need to hate.
